dc.description.abstract | Health is an integral part of psychosocial well-being and population productivity. However, it is constantly faced with numerous challenges. Of these multifarious health challenges, the challenge posed by the rising burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), Diabetes, Chronic Respiratory Diseases, and cancers are the most significant. A comprehensive response is, therefore, urgently required to reverse this rising prevalence of NCDs. This will require both a robust health system response and coordinated multi-sectoral actions on the many determinants of NCDs. | en_US |
