Transcribed by Mrs Jaqui Carter, and edited by Professor Tilli Tansey and Dr Hugh Thomas. Dr Antony Selwyn St Leger FFCM (b. 1948) has been a consultant and senior lecturer in public health medicine at the University of Manchester since 1980. He was at the MRC Epidemiology Unit (South Wales) from 1974 to 1980.
